Supervised Pre-Trial Release
Drew Solnoki, Byrd Law Firm
Prospective clients often ask me, “What is SPR?” SPR stands for Supervised Pre-Trial Release, which is a program where you can be released from jail under supervision, sometimes without being required to post a monetary bond.
Supervised Pre-Trial Release requires that you call in weekly, usually two to three times a week, and it also requires that you undergo drug testing along with some other conditions depending on the nature of the charge. Now, many of my clients don’t want to be on Supervised Pre-Trial Release. They find it to be an inconvenience that they must call or report in person and miss work for drug testing.
